What is LIFT?

It is a program dedicated to developing leadership capabilities in teenagers through creating a vibrant community of teen leaders who prepare themselves to unleashing their potentials and gear up for solving intractable challenges of their communities, the nation and beyond.

Vision

To see inspired, visionary and empowered teen leaders who confidently march into a bright future where they will demonstrate great leadership.

Mission

To take teen leaders through strategically designed and guided reading, reflecting, presenting and discussing processes that would automatically enhance academic and life skills that lay the foundation for the making of great leaders.

Goal

To inspire and challenge LIFT participants to read, reflect on and discuss 8 – 12 selected books in two months in a systematic, and fun manner.

Who Can Get Involved?

This program is designed to support students ages 13-17. Access to a personal computer or a smart phone is mandatory. Anyone over the age of 13 can submit an application.

How Do I Apply?

Start the process by filling out an application. After your application is reviewed, you’ll receive an email with next steps.

What Kind of Books are Provided?

The books provided in the program are comprised of three categories: fiction, biographies/ autobiographies and Non- fiction/Principle books.

Both Amharic and English books are included.

Each week one book from each category is posted on the website. The books are carefully selected and the order in which they appear have its own logic. We generally start simple and easy with preparatory reading and dive deeper into thought provoking and challenging ones with some refreshments in between. So far, all of our participants absolutely loved the book selections and the order they appeared at.

How Do I Pay for The Program?

The LIFT program involves a payment of birr 1400 (VAT included) for registration and program fees for the 2 months. Payment is made in advance and in full.

You make the payment by depositing the money to one of the accounts provided here or by coming to our office at T.K. international bldg #2, Suite # 309.

When you send us the confirmation of payment via phone numbers 0911486090 or 0911195545 on Telegram, you have successfully registered for the program and we will send you the log in details/ access code when the round you have registered to starts.
